Berlin-based designer EWA HERZOG presented a successful collection at the Mercedes-Benz Fashion Week Berlin, taking you into a fairy tale of lace. Beautiful colours, gorgeous lace dresses, a lot of skin – all in the name of fashion.
The show started with an amazing intro of Adele's song "Hello" on full blast. The light went on and the first model strode out. The show opened with a strapeless minidress which already got the public whispering on the front row.
Ewa Herzogs’ favourite choice for next Autumn/Winter was especially minidresses. Most of her outfits revealed a lot of legs – it acted as a thread through the whole show. Her minidresses were often focused on the waist to give the pieces a more feminine touch. She also played with asymmetric cuts like dresses which backward’s was longer than the front. Looks were added to the collection with jumpsuits, skirts and a few trousers. Ewa Herzog also presented lacy delicateness with long dresses that were flowing trough the runway and underlined the dreamy attidude of the collection.
The designer sent out a comprehensive collection, vivid in sweet colours, such as grey, brown tones, burgundy and nude. It felt like a walk trough golden autumn leaves. Additions of black and a light blue were used. The colour choice contributed to the lighhearted atmoshpere of the collection.
The designer creatively played with different fabrics. Ewa Herzog worked a lot with lace – which has long been her signature. She combined this with elegant and soft, fine fabrics. Tweed also played a center stage when it was used in combination with brocades in gold and silver.
Most noticeable was the treatment of the female body: lace partially undressed the human figure and created transperancy in what the skin was showing. She created a collection that walked a fine line between covering and exposing – that was quite compelling!
In addition to those lovely outfits the models had strongly teased curls and burgundy red lipstick on, which underlined the elegant character of this collection – slightly coquettish, but still very girly and pretty.

It was a very feminine and romantic collection that made you dream of those highly desirable pieces, which deserved devotion. The collection was definitely breathtaking.
