Showing in the romantic and extraordinarily beautiful Kronprinzenpalais in Berlin, MARINA HOERMANSEDER's Autumn/Winter 2016 collection for the Mercedes-Benz Fashion Week Berlin perfectly matches its surroundings. Accompanied by a live bass player and upbeat music, the models walk in a complicated but very exciting choreography, presenting their outfits to the awaiting audience.
The unique style of the brand is what really makes their collections stand out each season: inspired by orthopedic technology, the continuing trademark of the label presents complex oppositions, creating a special collection again.

Paying a tribute to one of the strongest and bravest women in history, the looks are feminine and strong. Amelia Earhart, who was the first female pilot to fly across the Atlantic solo, became an icon - not only for her time or the art of flying, but for women all around the globe.
Mixing very feminine skirts, creating sharp X-Silhouettes, some of the outfits are sexy, even though they show little skin. Straight cut long coats combined with flaring pants and fine long-sleeved turtlenecks seem soft and yet strong; some pieces remind us of uniforms, others of chic and girly casual looks. Highlighting the waist by using belts and stinky buckles, the collection accentuates and flatters the female figure. Silk blouses and short skirts, dresses and long coats with tight waist lines underline the importance of femininity, yet orthopedic elements and the use of hard materials, such as shiny plastic, give the collection a deliberately functional touch. Unique impulses like the combination of these elements with fine silk or long light woolen sleeves embody Hoermanseder's signature style. Adding shimmering elements on only a few pieces like a dress and sweatshirts emphasizes the importance of underlining a feminine touch. Other pieces are flight jackets, pleat-fronted pants and hooded coats. Thereby the collection has a feminine, light and yet strong determination, combined with subtle masculine notes.
Completing the outfits with Louboutin high heels, the looks are completed with shoes that are the very definition of femininity. Furthermore, the models are styled with a wet hair look and thick eyeliner.

Passionate and courageous women are who this collection is made for: women who work for their goals - even live for them - and don't mind rolling up their sleeves to overcome any obstacle to achieve what they are aiming for.
"You can do anything you decide to do. You can act to change and control your life." - Amelia Earhart.
