The Austrian luxury brand SPORTALM likes to reflect that special feeling of the Kitzbühel’s way of life. And so they did at Mercedes-Benz Fashion Week Berlin with their Autumn/Winter 2016 collection.

As 1893’s Franz Reisch drove off the Kitzbühler Horn on skis, he wrote sports’ history and the Kitzbühel became the top ski area to be at. In this atmosphere of winter sports, Sportalm is at home in the heart of the Alps. And yes, the Kitzbühel-feeling was clear to see in the new collection, which contained a variety of material mixes like fur combined with silk or wool and a combination of bright colours like lemon yellow and signal red with white, beige and different shades of grey. On top they placed a well-mixed amount of glittered accessories.

Of course, Sportalm showed ski-suitable looks like jeans, pullovers and jackets, which can be worn outside for winter sports - and we definitely noticed the guys, rolling up the catwalk carpet at the beginning, who wore nothing under their sport jackets apart from their six-pack. But what actually predominated the new collection were lady-like after-ski looks.

Dresses, flared trousers, feminine blouses and fine coats were to see, made from silk, wool and cashmere, partly decorated with floral prints or fur. Most beautiful was the combination of soft looking fashion pieces, which never seem to come out of trend, with silver and shiny boots. Other highlights were a black leather cape with cut-outs, a silver lurex dress and a white coat with a grey yoke.

Everything looked softly, as there would be nothing better in winter, than sinking well dressed into the snow. Simply the Kitzbühl feeling.
