As part of Der Berliner Mode Salon and the Vogue Salon, the Kronprinzenpalais might be one of the prettiest locations to present a collection at Mercedes-Benz-Fashion Week Berlin. The beautiful garden, in which MARINA HOERMANSEDER showed her spring/summer 2017 collection brought a kind of Paris vibe to Berlin. Fittingly, her collection was inspired by the French Riviera and blissful summer days.

Once more, Marina combined the artistic elements of orthopaedics, which made her well-known, with smart haute couture and pret-a-porter accents. As basics for the laid-back Mediterranean feel, a range of boyfriend-shirts, tennis-dresses, poloneck-shirts, slim and flared shorts with bow details and palazzo trousers were shown, to which sculptural corsets and skirts fitted perfectly.
A lot of bows and tree-dimensional butterflies embellished the collection’s pieces, made from hand-shaped and lacquered leather. And of course, Marina did not hesitate to use premium fabrics such as smooth cotton, light jersey, lace and materials with flock gradients to add feminity to her clothing. But the absolute highlights were glittering crystals on top of her designs to underline the fragility of butterflies. In cooperation with Swarovski, she focused on "butterfly-kids" and turned her inspiration into imagination by creating a precious leather dress, an intricate corset and several accessories, which were dotted by those glittering crystals.

Next to embroidery, the label's signature-style buckle on leather straps wasn't missed out on. Marina Hoermanseder brought together the elegance of southern France with her distinctive and striking style.
