One of Berlin’s fashion’s most iconic label could probably be AUGUSTIN TEBOUL and their one of a kind women’s wear. Showing as part of Der Berliner Mode Salon, Annelie Augustin and Odély Teboul’s spring/summer 2017 collection proved once again their outstanding craftsmanship, mixed with modern silhouettes on the verge of Haute Couture.

The half French, half German duo that constitutes Augustin Teboul knows how to combine both of their nationalities’ best features: French’ style and German’s meticulous work. Since 2010, the pair creates masterpieces, each more beautiful than the other. Renowned for their black, hand-crocheted and -embroidered outfits, Annelie Augustin and Odélie Teboul mastered the sphere of feminine rock glam in a very unique way.
This spring/summer 2017 collection followed through their autumn/winter 2016’s with additions of colours to the normally all-black looks. While last season saw touches of pink and blue through beaded embroideries, this time the designers actually created one all pink jumpsuit, dark blue trousers, a dark blue dress and – surprise – a final white dress. Though some dashes of colour illuminated the collection, the label’s signature black remained dominant.
Augustin Teboul demonstrated their skills through a series of dresses, bodysuits, leggings and tights, short, tops and jackets. The outfits succeeded one another and revealed the models’ skin in various manners. Whether mini-dresses, cropped tops, airy lace or see-through silk, the designers once again balanced sensuality and femininity with punk insolence. The show’s highlights, other than the unexpected coloured looks, would be the fabulous headpieces. Four sunglasses-beanie combinations complemented bodysuits and see-through black shirts for a stylish summer.

Followed throughout by the band Walls & Birds, this spring/summer 2017 collection stayed true to the designers’ punk rock feel. Augustin Teboul keeps on amazing its audience, and it’s hard to think of something they could not do – except perhaps being to girly or expected. They once again reflected the free spirit of an insolent punk queen.
