When it comes down to luxury brands, presenting at Mercedes-Benz-Fashion Week Berlin, one can't be missed out: DAWID TOMASZEWSKI. The designer showed his Spring/Summer 2017 collection and impressed the audience once again with his avant-garde designs, extraordinary patterns and his very own touch of glamour.
Inspired by the new-wave band Blondie and art like Wolfgang Tillman's 'Blushes' and a Damien Hirst painting, he showed large geometric and a few wild animal prints, as well as beautiful fading colours on airy tops and trousers, coats and dresses. These tie-dyed dresses came around in yellow, pink and blue and leaned on classical caftan dresses. They were joined by high waist midi-skirts, capes, black leather pants and trousers with button plackets at the side, but most exciting were the handmade pieces, which were crested with colourful Swarovski-crystals.

Within a collaboration, the Austrian brand provided him and four other designers from the Vogue-Fashion Salon with crystals and while the others just used them modestly, Dawid Tomaszewski wasn't afraid to put a lot of them on his collection-pieces. More precisely: he went to town with it. Like he did on a feather skirt and jacket, too. Feathers are a recurring thing in his collections and for Spring/Summer 2017 we will see them in yellow. It's exactly this special kind of mixtures, that makes his fashion unique and distinctive and that rough kind of glam reflects a city like Berlin perfectly.
