Lou Dalton x Jaeger SS17 | London Collections Men

For Spring/Summer 17, Jaeger collaborates for the second time with menswear designer Lou Dalton. The collection was presented at the Hospital Club during London Collections Men.  

This partnership combines their talent, distinctive design and also their practical philosophy of creating pieces that have a sense of adventure and are functional.The SS17 collection addresses the modern day adventurer, while the last collection was the predecessor to that with diving into Jaeger's heritage, including design features from the archive collection and items worn by Ernest Shackleton. Now we have textured outerwear essentials, base layers of cotton tees, merino knitwear, chino pants and utilitarian shorts.  

The entire collection just screams active and performance with unique design features like ergonomic sleeves, adjusted seams to create form-fitting knitwear and engineered webbing. This feature gives the entire collection a subtle military aesthetic. All the fabrics have been carefully selected to ensure the aspect of practicability and maneuverability that fine gage technical merino sits alongside strech nylon and breathable cotton.  

Lou Dalton: "I'm thrilled to be working with jaeger on a second collection. It's fantastic to be a part of establishing a new approach to Jaeger menswear. I think this collection is a move on from last season, bringing more energy and focusing more on technically enhanced fabrics and finishes. Having said that, our original concept remains, which is to make a collection for modern guys on-the-go. Overall, this second collaboration is an authentic collection of contemporary menswear."
