TOGA's designer Yakuro Furuta was inspired by the etymology of the world. The collection “PLEASURES, NATURE, CONCURRENCE” for the Fall/Winter 2016/2017 collection described the mitochondria, paramecium and bacteria of the world with independent patchwork pockets and sleeves. Waistlines for sharp X-Silhouettes were created with thin, edgy belts; key chains with charms were additional accessories. One of the highlights of the collection was a romantic dress with georgette and tulle clinging to the legs.

Toga originally meant “blessed robe” – keeping that in mind, the designs were created with hidden complexity and nuanced layers. The use of exclusive and extensive fabrics, as well as the unusual mix of style genres created clothes that tell an interesting story. Making their runway debut this February, Toga made another statement about their brand: their story is here to last. Expanding the fashion label to a menswear line, shoe line, a diffusion line and a bag line called “TOGA PULLA”, designer Yasuko Furuta created complete looks for both men and women.

Stating, “I create for a complex women who can only live in chaos”, Furuta described her collections in one sentence. The exiting and interesting, yet unusual looks with nuanced layers, fur sleeves and attached purses were as artsy as they were unique.
