It is the first day of Mercedes-Benz Fashion Week Berlin and three very talented, young fashion designers from Korea chose the ME Collectors Room for an international kick-off. House of Yoshi, BOMB.B and Gear3 collectively presented their Atumn/Winter 2017 collections accompanied by the Berlin DJ Glos, who filled the room with club vibes.
The very talented trio is influenced by the spirit of the Ukrainian underground youth movement CXEMA and the industrial thought. For them Berlin is the perfect place to present their forward thinking fashion to a young crowd and potential buyers.
The menswear collections combined twelve looks shown in a standing performance, even though the models moved every now and then, which gave the looks a vibrant touch. The colour palette was overall black, blue and green although two looks seemed to fall of the track with red and yellow stripped knitwear and a brown leather jacket and one with camouflage trousers.
It was fascinating to see how the three designers transformed classic pieces like wool coats, dress-shirts and turtlenecks into urban, cool and sporty street styles. With the help of zippers on the front of pants and sleeves and studded skulls on shoes and hoodies and the word Bomb.b printed on sleeves and shoes. Different fabrics like silk, fake fur, leather, wool and mesh-optic tops matched with pinstripes and checked patterns. It seemed as if the models just stepped out of an art-school or a gym-session, which makes perfectly sense. Outfits for really cool guys.
