At this year's London Fashion Week Men's, AGI & SAM Autumn/Winter 2017 collection brought us to central London in the confines of a former Presbyterian church.

The decadent space set the perfect location for the collaboration with BOILER ROOM, one of largest online music broadcasting platform, as the fusion of Music and Fashion brought a collection charged with an unusual energy and spirit, feasible only by the likes of Agi Mdumulla and Sam Cotton. The immersive experience not only “united groups of people, cultures and communities globally through a shared identity, but also allowed customers to experience our world first hand”.

The collection was the union of men and women’s wear, celebrating nations, cultures and communities coming together. Maintaining their strong emphasis on bespoke textiles, the collection, aligned with the WOOLMARK COMPANY, presented a wool-based collection, where predominant red, back and white garments experimented with a variety of deconstructed and contemporary silhouettes, along with broken and weathered fabrics and patchwork.

The melancholy space, accompanied by electronic musician Holy Other, was charged with an expressive, dark and emotive character. “Taking the alien kinetics of UK garage, the euphoric highs of vocal house and the slow, sensuality of R&B, I created a soundtrack that’s as melancholy as it is beautiful, spectral and yet slightly at unease with itself," explained Holy Other. Beautiful and spectral definitely defined the identities which models embodied, as they made an appearance  masking their identities, revealing only the audience a smokey red and eccentric gaze.

To conclude the night, or should I say morning,  an after party was held within the same space, uniting a variety of Boiler Room performers including Svani, Florentino, Kane West and Jetsss. In a world where division seem to reign, Agi & Sam found the perfect way to unite creative scenes in a way to show how youth culture protest against those who try to dictate their doctrine.
