Right at the beginning of her show at Mercedes-Benz-Fashion Week Berlin, fashion designer IRENE LUFT opened with a big bang and an abundant dress, made from tulle, net and flower-lace, topped by a golden headdress. And as her eponymous label is known for it, a lot of flowing robes, lots of lace and tulle, and elaborate hairstyles followed and characterized her Spring/Summer 2017 collection.
Remaining faithfully to her romantic and feminine line, Irene Luft showed transparent trousers, embroidered with tiny yellow flowers, tops with kimono sleeves, a golden pantsuit and long, multiple-layer dresses in sweeping cuts.
Focused on the details, cut-outs and embroidery were to see on nearly every dress. In contrast to those complex garments, she presented some plain pieces like a black culotte, black leather pants, shiny high-waisted trousers and a plain white long sleeved top. Black and white were the predominating colours, cream tones and gold completed the collections colour scheme.

Next to the dresses gold was seen as heavy jewellery on the models shoulders, heads and in the form of long necklaces. Some of the drafts were embroidered with those chains and glittering stones and the developed structures gave the impression of flower tendrils or animal reptile-armours.
Her impressive designs established a look for powerful, strong women, who know best how to dress up and show their wild but feminine side.
