The title of RIANI 's Spring/Summer 2017 runway show at Mercedes-Benz Fashion Week Berlin was quite emotional and a close subject to almost everyone's heart and soul. At the opening of the show a short film about the strong bond between a mother and her daughter was shown. The beginning of life through all stages - good and bad.
Cheyenne Savannah Ochsenknecht opened the show and a well chosen range of models of all ages walked down the catwalk. German anchorwoman Bettina Kramer was accompanied by her young daughter Carla. And 65 year old model Anna von Rüden showed that age is one of the most beautiful things. The highlight at the end: a few famous models walked up to get the most special women in everyone's lifes - the mothers - and walked down the catwalk hand in hand with them, eliciting a huge applause. Cheyenne Savannah walked up to her mother Natascha Ochsenknecht and Chiara Moon Horst to Anouschka Renzi. Also supermodel Larissa Marolt and her mother Elke made it clear to everyone, that they belong together. At the end of the show Martina Buckenmaier (CEO Riani) showed the deep connection between mother and daughter by walking hand in hand with her mother Gerda-Marie Cruse and daughter Mona.

The whole Spring/Summer 2017 collection is vibrant and full of life, as the subject of the show. "Colouring Book“ was the theme of the collection and visible trough the whole edition. The colour palette is bright and strong. Pieces in black and white stripes and squared patterns next to eclectric blue and juicy green. Light shining silver pants walk along flowers and checked pieces. Delicate fabrics as lace put together with cotton and flower prints alongside glossy pants and jackets. A colourful mix which celebrated life itself.
Showing many different models of all ages the label opened up the collection to many different women, which undermines the strong connection to people.
